I heard it was a must see experience - and in Geneseo - so I trudged 4 miles through mud and mire - in the rain - to see a forest of Bluebells along the Genesee River. It was worth it and instead of being with 150 people who went on the hike in beautiful weather last Wednesday, our group had fewer than 20. Click on the picture to get the full effect.

As I promised your question pertaining to gardening will remain between the two of us, but you are lucky the above flower doesn't start with a S.

P.S. The bluebells are beautiful, thank you for sharing. I noticed the word is two syllables. Lucky for you, huh.

Skip, quit teasing and just post the question. Vicki, the picture looks like some fake movie scene - very nice.

To end the mystery - I confused sweetpea and snapdragon and, in my defense, the snapdragon blossom does resemble the blossom of a pea plant. I bet the two plants are related, maybe second cousins one removed.

I wasn't going to ask but as long as we are on the subject how did you determine that both sweetpea and snapdragon are two syllable words? And pray tell, where have you seen the snapdragon growing on a trellis?
