Time for a update on my new c-leg. I'm apologize for not giving updates but I've been a bit concerned with the weakness in my left leg. With this weakness comes pain, after just a few minutes walking with the prosthesis it sets in. This feels like the same pain I "enjoyed" with my full left leg before my amputation. Over the last four months I have gained strength by working with the leg. Though at my day's end, it's always the same, a pain filled and sore stump.. I don't have the discipline to stop working when the discomfort starts, when my pain and weakness make walking impossible I finally give in. Some people would say that qualifies me for induction into an insane asylum and they're probably right. By slowly increasing my day-to-day hours I have hope and this is what keeps me going. Today is the first day since I started wearing my prosthesis that I experienced a definite large gain. I rented a rototiller and used it for five hours on my main garden and larger flower garden. It took me nine hours to accomplish this feat but I was able to work an additional two hours after the gardens. Now for the good part. After all this I was still able to walk. I will admit it was with some pain but not to the point where I was dragging my leg. When I took my prosthesis off the pain was a lot less than what I normally experience. Today is a major victory for me and a personal milestone. I owe this to your prayers, love, and understanding. Love you all.

Thanks for the update - I poop out after two hours of gardening so I can't even imagine putting in the work days you do! Check you email for my gardening question (posting it here would put my ignorance on display)
Sounds like things are looking up; we'll pray for the pain to go away completely in the stump.
I'd like to hear Vicki's gardening question - hey, it might be one we all have.
Vicki did ask a question that I would think you Nancy, and the rest of the gardening community should know and share. Do you wonder why she would ask me instead of, maybe looking it up on the internet? Do you suppose she thinks or even realizes my gardening knowledge supersedes that of her computer? Or maybe, and this I dread to think, she asked me such a simple question, one she was sure I had the answer of, upon answering it, my self-esteem would increase a bit. What she didn't expect was me not knowing the answer. But I did what any master gardener would do, I googled her question and sent her the much anticipated answer.
After four tries I believe the gardening question has finally been answered. What Vicki didn't choose to believe was that my brains processing prowess had sunk this low. She finally showed me a picture and I think I got it right this time.
